Good news, everyone :)* The Tour de Lorraine<\/a> invited J\u00fcrgen Geuter<\/a> | tante.cc and myself for the Tour’s opening talk on January 24th in Bern’s Riding School<\/a>.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Tour de Lorraine is rooted in the Anti-globalization movement. “The Battle of Seattle”<\/a> was, depending on the interpretation, was it birth place or first peak of the Anti-globalization movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the Anti-globalization movement was happening in Switzerland, too. People came together for discussion and collective action against exploitation of humans and planet by a small group of people. They shared a common idea of a better and sustainable world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One point target-point of their action was the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum<\/a> happening every January in Davos since 1971.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting of a private lobby organisation without any democratic legitimacy with such economic and political power was opposed by many.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wipe out the WEF!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

“Wipe out the WEF” was one common slogan against the meeting – and still is the motto auf the Tour de Lorraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And because even resistance against capitalism needs money the Tour de Lorraine started in 2001 to raise funds and and help the resistance in many ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Times have changed and it is not possible anymore to go to Davos to tell the participants of the WEF what you think about them. But there is still resistance against the meeting and the Tour is still active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And “Wipe out the WEF” still is the motto of the Tour de Lorraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talk and discussion on the 24th of January<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I am happy that the Tour invited tante<\/a> and me for their opening talk and discussion on January the 24th 2025 on digitalisation and society<\/a>. And, of cause, the discussion with you about reclaiming technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

25th of January: Workshop<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

On the 25th my colleague Lars and me are inviting you to the “Lost in Communication”<\/a> workshop. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
